It is time for Pink Saturday!! Vintage embroidery and other needle art. . .October 17,2009

Welcome, dear friends, to another fun Pink Saturday so graciously hosted each week by Beverly from "How Sweet the Sound". Thank you, Beverly, for making our pink fun possible each week!

I do not sew or do any kind of needlework, but I have the greatest admiration for those who do. I wanted to show some of the vintage embroidery work and other needle crafts I have in my home. First, meet Miss Tilly Kitty Cat with her pink paisley tummy. Isn't she a cutie pie? She was lovingly handcrafted in England by Kitty Blossom. You can find Ms. Blossom here: www.blossomdesign.etsy.com

The next three pictures show some vintage embroidery in my home: hearts, blue birds, and a Southern Belle.
The sixth picture shows a beautiful sachet that hangs in my bedroom. It was crafted by my friend, Jil, of "Say it with Roses". You can find Jil here: http://sayitwithroses.blogspot.com/

You will also see a bouquet of roses from my cottage garden this week. I took these roses to the school secretary at the school where I tutor twice a week. And last, I always love to close with a vintage image.
I hope you enjoyed your visit here at Bunny Cottage today. I love to have company. Enjoy your beautiful autumn weekend and please visit all the other participants, including Beverly, to see the interesting and lovely pink posts. You can find the participants here: http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/

As usual, I am not disappointed with all of the pink goodies I get to see on Pink Saturday. With fall in the air and the days getting shorter, Pink Saturday is going to be more important than ever to bring a little sunshine into my home.

Your post this week was extra special!
