Tea Party in the garden...September morning and autumn days will soon be here!!!

Grab your straw hat, and let's go into my cottage garden for tea today...
Soothing rains have helped my roses, rose of sharon, and Southern Belle hibiscus to bloom...

I am very fond of these luncheon sets with the plate and tea cup all in one. This is the "moss rose" pattern I believe. Ladies can carry their scones and tea in one trip...

"By all these lovely tokens, September days are here, with summer's best of weather, and autumn's best of cheer."

This is one of my favorite tea pots. It reminds me of tea in an English cottage.

We can sit here on my front porch if you would like. There is usually a cool breeze blowing through.

This pretty teapot and cup for one were painted by Ms. Amy. You will find her here: http://vintageporcelainart.blogspot.com/

I even have teacups and saucers "growing" in my garden.

This sweet little teacup is one of my favorites. It is paper thin and very delicate. No markings on it.

This is where my grandchildren and I have our tea parties in my back yard.

I hope you have enjoyed your tea today. I always enjoy our visits together. I am wishing you the happiest of September days...
I am participating in these tea parties: please join all of us as we celebrate with sandi at http://sandimyyellowdoor.blogspot.com/ martha at http://marthasfavorites.com/ and terri at http://artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com/ I am posting a little early. The tea posts won't be up until late Monday or early Tuesday.

Vicki, I love all your photos, garden, and china. I am especially intrigued by the use of the china plate as a garden edging! That is a brilliant idea which I may just steal, if I may! I will be back to see more! Linda

It's 90 here today so I would love to sit on the porch and catch a breeze. Could I use the cup with the pink roses and blue on it. I know it is very delicate but I will be oh so careful.

Dear Vicki, I will have to see tomorrow morning if there is some teacup or saucer growing in my garden, too!!!! If it´s not, then would you give me the secret to grow them??
Your garden is always so lovely at any time of the year.

Oh, your garden is lovely. Such a beautiful place to enjoy a cup of tea. Your Moss Rose teacups are lovely...but so is the pillow behind them. I am totally in love with ruffly, feminine pillows...nearly as much as I am in love with teacups. And your table runner is also one of those things that makes my heart go pitter patter. It's beautiful.

Hope you're having a lovely day.

Blessings to you,
Patti

Hello Vicki,
What a sweet journey through your pretty Texas garden to enjoy a refreshing cup of tea!
My grandchildren and I have little tea parties, but indoors. Next summer we will have to set up one outside. What fun!
I adore that dainty little teacup and saucer with the blue swirls!

Hi Vicki, your garden still looks so lovely and inviting. I am just trying to keep everything alive around here until we have milder temps and then I will be able to have more plants and tomatoes again. Hope you are having a great week so far. I'm finding it hard to keep up with work and home at the moment. Not enough time in each and every day. :/ Best wishes, Tammy

Hi Vicki,
Your post brought back wonderful memories of my grandmother's magical garden...That's what my sister and I use to call it when we were little girls. She use to "grow" plates in her garden too, along with pretty little ceramic cats. One Christmas we even found these cute little outfits Santa had left for us hanging on the branches of her tree...there were reindeer hoof prints and everything...Thank you for the sweet reminder. Have a wonderful weekend my dear friend.

Hugs and Kisses,
♥Ana
