The teapot parade. . .

I'm a little teapot. . .
Short and stout.

Here is my handle.

Here is my spout.

When I get all steamed up,

Hear me shout,

"Tip me over and pour me out!"

Do you remember singing this song as a child and doing the motions with it? I do. Today, I am showing some of my favorite teapots around my cottage. Please visit our faithful hostesses for "Tea Things on Tuesday": Martha at http://marthasfavorites.com Sandi at http://sandimyyellowdoor.blogspot.com/ and Terri at http://artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com/
You will enjoy seeing all of the lovely tea things our participants have to share this week.
"A little cup of friendship
With a bag of tea.
When you drink this
Think of love from me."
Wishing you the best of weeks and much happiness, my sweet friends. Thank you so much for your kindness and the friendship you show!!

And, I so remember singing that song in kindergarten, as well.

Hi Vicki,
Thanks for paying me a visit today. I took a look at your blog and all the pretty tea things. Oh, it's a lot of eye candy...lovely things. It's just my style!!!!! So I joined your blog :) :) :) I think I love things like this because it reminds me of a gentler age somehow...beauty in the everyday things. I love that!!! You sure have a lot of teapots etc. Emilie Barnes has a couple of decorating books and you can see her huge collection of teapots, teacups, saucers. It's beautiful just like the photos you shared with us.
Oh, where do you find all those lovely vintage images that you post on your blog? They're sweet!!! Love and hugs, Heather :) :) :)

Oh my goodness, Vicki! If you could only hear me gasping over your beeeee-u-ti-ful teapots!! A couple of them remind me of some of my grandma's china, too, which makes them even prettier! :)
AND, I not only sang that little tea pot song, but I tap-danced to it when I was about 5 or 6! I took lessons then, and we did a little performance on an excursion boat in St. Louis! I remembered the dance and the boat, but I had totally forgotten that song, until now! Thank you SO much for that memory!!
