Back in my nest once again. . .

Hello dear friends, I have been away for a few days visiting with my loved ones. We had a wonderful time celebrating the Fourth of July and were so thankful for the freedom we have here in our beautiful country, the United States of America.
We wrote our names with sparklers, watched a parade, and rode fun rides such as the merry-go-round. We ate vanilla ice cream with peach cobbler, so yummy!

Yes, it was a wonderful time spent with my family. And now, I am back to my own little nest and sleeping in my own bed. I hope each of you, sweet friends, had a wonderful time, too.

Thank you so much for coming by for a visit. I will be visiting each one of you to get caught up on what has been happening in your life.It is very dark here tonight, but first thing in the morning I will be out to visit my garden which I have missed very much.

"A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song." ~ Chinese Proverb
Wishing you much bird song and happiness each and every day!

Hello Vicki,

Glad to hear you had a wonderful time spent with family :-) I guess as much as we have fun vacationing in another place, being at home or going home is something we do miss.

Celebrating one's Independence Day and remembering how our forefathers fought for it really makes us appreciate even more the freedom that we have now.

Li

Vicki, I love sleeping in my own bed, honey, but this weekend Love Bunny is dragging me into the woods to "commune with nature"! I don't wanna commune with nature; I wanna commune with my air conditioning and kitchen! *Sigh*...

Hi, sweetie pie! I'm so glad you're back and am glad you had a good visit with family!

I love your house. At first I did a double take and thought I might be at Spencer's blog. For some reason your bedrooms remind me of each other's. But recently, she went with blue in hers just for a change. Your things are SO pretty.

Glad to see you out and about, Vicki!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi vicki!
What pretty photos of your home... The sweet decorating touches you add make things so lovely and beautiful.

Before we had the fans all blowing and the windows closed {it's humid and in the 90's here in NY State} I was enjoying the silence with the sweet songs of the birds in the background. My favorite part of summer!
Wishing you a lovely weekend dear ♥

ps. Your photos and vintage postcards are so sweet, Vicki!
