Wimberley Market Days, Wimberley, Texas and a sincere "Thank You!" to our veterans!!

This past Saturday my sister, niece and I visited the Wimberley Market Days outdoor market in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This is the largest and oldest market in the hill country. My sister, Myra, is on the left, my niece, Robin, is in the middle, and I am the lady in blue on the right. We had a nice lady take this picture for us prior to going into the market. The market has many booths and many things for sale as I tried to show you in my pictures: antiques, crafts, food, flowers, jewelry, vintage linens, and many other things. My sister and I both bought some vintage linens. She bought a beautiful Southern Belle runner. I bought a vintage white tablecloth with crochet at each corner and some pretty fingertowels (see the last pictures). My niece bought some jams and salsa from the "Cactus Lace" booth. All three of us bought some fresh Texas pecans from San Saba, Texas for our holiday baking (if I have any left by that time because I keep nibbling on mine!!) After we left the market place, we drove on to Fredericksburg, Texas and had a delicious German food meal at "Der Lindenbaum" German restaurant. We had a fun day as we always do when the three of us get together. I am thankful for my sister and niece and their wonderful love and friendship!!

I would also like to honor all of our military veterans today. I have two veterans myself: my son, Jeremy, who was in the Navy and sang and played with the Navy Band. He performed for special ceremonies and entertained our troops all over. My son, Aaron, who was with the First Cavalry out of Fort Hood and served in Iraq. He was in the signal corp. I am thankful for my sons and their service to our country.

I hope you are having a beautiful day. Thank you so much for stopping by Bunny Cottage. I value and appreciate your friendship. Blessings to each and every one!!

Oh Vicki!
What fun you girls had at the market. What a wonderful day and finished with laughter and lunch. I loved the gourd what was painted with a Santa face. The battenberg laces you shared, I especially liked the bluebird that embroidered, how free and devine. I love that Texas Chick shirt. Cute! Cute!

Thanks for taking me on this wonderful excursion with your gals. I so enjoyed myself today. Stop by soon. Have a beautiful day sweetie.

Country hugs, Sherry

Sounds like an absolutely fantastic day and the weather looks perfect. All the booths and your purchases are great! Salsa -- yummo! My Mamaw in Mississippi always kept pecans in her freezer and we would just take a pack out and eat them whenever we would visit. May the bluebird of happiness visit you often. :) Blessings, Tammy
