Welcome to my cottage home!! Let's have our tea outdoors!!

"There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort." ~Jane Austen
This quote by Jane Austen expresses my feeling about my home. I occasionally like to get away for a few days, but after having been gone from home, I find myself longing to be back in my cozy nest surrounded by familiar things, going to sleep at night in my own bed. And so like Dorothy, I always say, "There is no place like home!"
Today I thought we would have our tea outdoors on my patio. It won't be too long before Old Man Winter pays us a visit so we can enjoy the pleasant November weather until he arrives. I have decorated the table with some of my favorite tea items so I hope you will take a seat and feel right at home. I also invited a special guest: one of my favorite cloth dolls. She is a dear friend and loves tea parties, too. You see some of my favorite roses still in bloom. These roses came from the Antique Rose Emporium in Brenham, Texas and are called "Belinda's Dream" They smell heavenly, too!
I wanted to give you a peek into my cottage home. You see a favorite white china cabinet filled with some of my favorite things. This is in my sunroom so I can look at it when I sip my morning coffee. Also, I wanted to show you my bedroom where I dream each night and then awaken to some pretties to look at. Dear friends, I hope you have enjoyed your tea and your visit today. You always cheer me up when you come for a visit. I am participating in "Tea Things Tuesday" graciously hosted by Kim of "Shabby, Pink and Pretty", thank you so much Kim, and "Show Your Cottage Monday" graciously hosted by Cielo of "The House in the Roses", thank you so much Cielo. I love November as we think of Thanksgiving and think upon all the things we have to be thankful for. I am thankful for each of you. Have a blessed and happy autumn week!

Good Morning, Vicki!

What a wonderful way to start the day, having tea iwth you. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and I loved your pretty garden setting. You know, I adore a blue tablecloth with pink and white china... those two colors are a match made in heaven. And I loved going inside to see your pretty bedroom. I could cozy up there for a long time. So if you see a big lump in the bed, it might just be a magpie! ;-) Love to you today and a happy week ahead...

Oh how I love my visits to Bunny Cottage!!! I can't believe how lovely and green everything is for you still. Our tea party outside was lovely and I LOVED the tour of your sweet cottage. I feel exactly the same way about my home. It's nice to get away for a day or so, but I love to be home the best. I find the older I get the more that I want to be home. The time of the year also plays into it, I love being home before it gets dark outside.
I hope you have a beautiful evening enjoying your nest.
Hugs,
June

What a lovely home and garden! I totally agree...there is NO place like home! I find myself leaving home only when I absolutely have to. I even save up all my errands and try to accomplish them all in one day so I don't have to leave the place I love best! :)

I've said this more than once Vicki, but your home is just so beautiful. Your guestroom is lovely with all of those beautiful pillows on the bed. What a charming room to be in. Your outdoor tea table looks fabulous too. I just love those faux cookies. Would love to know where you found them. I'm wondering if maybe you bought them from Rhea @ Sweet and Shabby Roses as they look very similar to ones I've bought from her in the past.
