Welcome to my cottage home, dear friends!! I want to show you my new "chair cozies" and new tea cozy!!

Thank you so much for coming by for a visit today! I hope you are enjoying lovely autumn weather. Today I wanted to show you my new "chair cozies" and my new tea cozy. I had been wanting something to cover the tops of my dining room chairs for quite a while. I do not sew so I had looked on-line to see if there was anything like this for sale. I was unable to find what I was looking for. I then thought of my friend, Jil, who is an excellent seamstress. I thought for sure she could make me some "chair cozies". After I explained what I wanted, she made me the cozies for my dining room chairs that you are seeing above. Please notice all the details she has put into each one: vintage doilies, beautiful crocheted ribbonwork, handpainted buttons, vintage buttons and rhinestone buttons. She also lined each one. I could not be more happy with the result. Thank you so much, Jil! If you would like to get to know Jil and see more of her beautiful work, you can visit her at "Say It with Roses" by going here: http://sayitwithroses.blogspot.com/
As a special gift, Jil also made me the adorable tea cozy you see. I have never had one before, and I just love this one. She put all the details into this that she did with the chair cozies. I wanted to show you my dining room table and the chairs covered in their cozies. I have your tea warm and waiting and just ready to be poured. Please join me for a cup, won't you? I am participating in two special events: "Tea Things Tuesday" so graciously hosted by Kim of "Shabby, Pink and Pretty" and "Show Your Cottage Monday" so graciously hosted by Cielo of "House in the Roses". To visit the tea participants please go here:

During this month of Thanksgiving and always, I am truly thankful for good health. I am so glad you came by for a cup of tea today and a little conversation here at Bunny Cottage. Blessings and much love to you!

I want a friend like Jil... and I want to have tea in your beautiful tablescape and be sitted in your chairs, and try that light purple cake, my god!! everything is so beautiful Vicki!!!
Love the blue flowers, I also have them in the hill specially, they grow here as wild flower and we call them "trompetita". Congratulations to your friend Jil.

Vicky!!!!!!! Those are spectacular, chickee! Oh, I mean that sincerely. I might do that to refurbish my old dining chairs and get rid of the chair covers I have now. I need a change I think, sugar. You did great.....

Just lovely! What a sweet way to change the look of a room.

Someone told me yesterday that cottage and pink and roses was on it's way out. Like country decor a few years ago.

I pray it isn't so. We'll all be soooo sad.

Let's revolt.

Love, Rebecca

Your table setting is very complemented by the chair cozies and you are blessed to have found a friend to create them for you.
I had never heard of chair caps or cozies before today, I must lead a sheltered existence!
So I learned about something pretty here today.

These are so beautiful. I love the re-usage of the old doilies too. The pink rose fabric is so sweet and that cake in the center of the table looks delicious, even though I suspect it's not real!

I'm also sending out reminders about my Name Party this Thursday the 19th. I do hope you'll join me and post a special story!

Wow.. Those chair cozies are fabulous. What a cute idea for transforming an ordinary chair and turning it into something so pretty. Really makes me wish I knew how to sew myself so I could create such lovely things to dress up my chairs. Your tea table looks lovely as well. So many pretty things too look at in all your pictures..

Oh my gosh! Is this REALLY your home... it is so pretty... it looks like something out of a magazine. Truly! I used to dream of having a home like that... then I moved in with a man! And although we have a lovely old house - seventeenth century - it's sadly lacking in prettiness. I have a lot of work to do here!
