Autumn is my favorite time of year, yet there is no sense of it here. No change in the environment. Even the weather doesn't turn until late in the year when we hopefully will then have our "winter" season. Hope all is well with you and that you are having a wonderful weekend. Tammy
Hi Vicki!
Oh, yes! I love the festive feeling of fall!
I have wonderful memories of all the delights you mention!
Maybe I will buy an carmel apple today. YUM!
Have a sweet Saturday, sweet YOU!
I ADORE autumn, even though here in San Diego, it's hard to see. Just the way the sun shines differently , the breeze.... and you know, all the fun decorating... Can't wait. I love your pictures! Happy weekend. Ciao
Oooh Vicki... our memories are so similar... we have talked about that before, and how very blessed we were to grow up in the era we did during our youth... those caramel apples look sooo yummy!... and how fun were the school carnivals!... you know how much I love Halloween and trick or treat... and spooky stories!... I think you and I should get together and tell some of those old stories, while we are eating our caramel apples of course!... and laughing and giggling the whole time... much love my sweet friend, xoxo Julie Marie And yes, I am totally longing for Autumn!...
What wonderful memories you have shared, I too long for the fall, I love the beautiful fall colors the crisp clean smell of fall....
Big smiles~
Mari

I loved Autumn as a kid with all the leaves changing into such beautiful colors , the crispness in the air, apple pies made by my mom ( and Dad, he was an excellent baker) from apples from the tree in our yard and sweaters!!
I still love all of this...
Hugs,
Deb
Such a sweet post and wonderful way to share sweet memories!
Oh, me too, Vicki! Longing for Autumn; cool breezes. I can feel in the morning breezes the essence of Autumn even though it's still warm. There is something in the air, you know?
Thank you for that stroll down memory lane. It's funny all the things that bring us back to our childhood. If I bite into just one piece of candy corn I am back in grade school the day before Halloween, and I can envision it like it was yesterday...just one piece and that's all it takes. I don't have to eat another piece.
My mother used to make caramel apples once a year, and they would be waiting for us after school.
I'm not doing much on my journal for a while, but I will be visiting all of my dear friends' journaling as much as possible.
Sending love and hugs,
Marianne xox
