Life lessons learned. . .

Treat each person along life's way with respect. . .

Don't look so much at the outside of a person. . .

but at their heart, deep, deep inside of them.

Until the age of 40, I had lived a pretty charmed life. And then, I experienced a great heart ache. This was a life changing experience for me.

It taught me to look at people differently realizing that we all carry our own set of problems and heart aches. God used this experience to help me be less judgmental of others.

I thank Him for this and hope to be a better person today than I was yesterday. To have a heart of love for others. I don't want you to think that I have arrived in any way. I have not. It is a daily journey. Just wanted to share something from my heart today. Hope your week has started out in a good way for you.

I am going to be in trouble if they change the way we can blog. . .

I just noticed that things were different with my blog. I wasn't going to post a new post, but I became very concerned when I saw that things looked completely different!!! Yikes!!! I don't handle change well. I was able to get back to the old blogger after reading on my friend, Julie Marie's blog how to do so. It sounds like this is only a temporary fix. I hope not. I have finally somewhat figured out the old way of blogging. Well, we will see. I also would like to change from calling my blog a "blog" and calling it a journal. I have never liked the word blog. Oh well, that is just me. I hope I can continue on with my "Bunny Cottage" journal, but I am not sure if they continue to change things. Anyway, enough of my ramblings. Have a perfectly wonderful day, my friends!

It is a wealthy person indeed. . .

who calculates riches. . .

not in gold. . .

but in friends!

I am considering myself very wealthy to know each of you, my friends. Your kindness and creativity inspire me every day!

Texans. . .

are a friendly bunch. We greet friend and stranger alike with a smile.

We say things like "howdy" and "ya'll come see us". And, of course, we are always "fixin" to do something!

We love to take pictures of our children in bluebonnets, and biscuits with cream gravy are a morning staple.

We are a proud bunch, but you have to remember, we were our own country at one time.

So, dear friends, if you ever get a chance to come out Texas way, we'll be waiting for you with a smile and a big Texas hug! Sending love to you from me, a gal deep in the heart of Texas.

*Sweet girl in the bluebonnets is my oldest granddaughter, Grace.

Just a gentle reminder. . .

When the night is the darkest,

He is there. . .

When you can't take one more step,

He is there. . .

When you can't bear one more sorrow, He is there! My friends, I hope you feel His Presence today, but even if you don't, just a gentle reminder that He is there!

"How wonderful it must be . . .

to speak the language of the angels,

with no words for hate. . .

and a million words for love!"~Eileen Elias Freeman

Dear friends, I spent a wonderful Easter weekend in Santa Fe, New Mexico with my sister and niece. We enjoyed spectacular scenery and delicious food.

However, in my heart of hearts, I am a homebody and, like Dorothy, I feel: "There is no place like home!" And so, it is good to be home once again. I hope you had a wonderful weekend with those you love. Sending all of my love to you~Peace to you always.

Easter

Why seek ye the living among the dead?

He is not here.

He is risen!

Wishing you a blessed Easter season, my friends! (Little girl in first picture is my Maggie, my sweet granddaughter who is so full of life and love! I have seven absolutely perfect grandchildren, yes, that is grandmother talking, but it is true!)
