A merry heart. . .

doeth good like a medicine. . .Proverbs 17:22. My momma used to say. . .

"Life is too short to spend it being angry or upset with others." She was a very wise woman.

And so, I choose to celebrate each day that I have been blessed to live on this beautiful earth. . .

Life is sweet. . . Life is a beautiful thing! I am thinking of our brave military men and women who have served so faithfully over the years, protecting us, ensuring that we have the freedom that we hold so dear. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! God bless each of you, my friends!

I bought myself a present. . .and Happy Pink Saturday, dear friends~

Have you ever bought yourself a present? I recently did! I have always adored Christie Repasy's beautiful roses and so. . .

I purchased this gorgeous rose painting in a vintage tin frame from her. . .I am in love!!!

I love how it looks in my little cottage living room. In fact, I find an excuse to go into my bedroom so I can walk back out and see it hanging in my living room. Then, I just stand there and admire it.

Be still my beating heart. Is there something in your home that you just adore? I bet there is. Well, enough of my ramblings. I am participating in Pink Saturday. I haven't been able to participate on a weekly basis, but I do as much as I can. I love to visit all the pink posts each week and see what each of you have to share.

Please visit our kind hostess, Ms. Beverly, and all of the other pink folks here:

As Mother's Day draws near. . .

I am feeling deeply grateful for the privilege of being the mother to my two wonderful sons, Jeremy and Aaron. They have always brought such joy to my life. I remember holding both of them as tiny, tiny babies and feeling such love for them. Thank you, dear God, for my boys.

I am also remembering my mother. The kindest woman I have ever known. She loved her family dearly. She took care of us each and every day in such an unselfish manner. Thank you, dear God, for my mother, my angel in heaven.

I am remembering all mothers everywhere. I am wishing you, dear mothers, a blessed and happy Mother's Day. Thank you for your untiring love and devotion to your family.

These things I wish for you. . .

Some one to love. . .

Some work to do. . .

A bit of sun. . .

A bit of cheer. . .

And a guardian angel always near!!

Dear friends, this is a prayer I am saying for you today. Did you notice roses in almost every picture? I have had a love affair going on with roses all my life. I can remember picking roses from my neighbor's rose bush and making a lovely corsage for myself to wear to church on Sunday. I hope I had her permission. I really can't remember!! Anyway, roses have always made my heart sing. What makes your heart sing today? Sending love to you today and always!
