New Mexico days. . .

Sweet childhood days where my imagination was my most prized possession. . .

Days of riding my bike like the wind and soaring just above the ground like a bird. . .

Days of treasure hunts where I was sure I would find that pot of gold at rainbow's end.

Days of family picnics where fried chicken, juicy watermelon and homemade ice cream were always on the menu. Days of turquoise blue skies, dainty hollyhocks, and star-filled nights still linger in my heart. . . What childhood memories are lingering in your hearts today?

Oooh Vicki... so many of my childhood memories are the same as yours, and I know we both treasure them so!... that looks so much like my grandma's adobe house in Santa Fe... she always had Hollyhocks growing tall along the driveway back to the detached garage too... Happy Spring to you, and blissful memories!... xoxo Julie Marie PS Kids these days don't have a clue what they are missing!

Hi Vicki, this is a beautiful post! i have never been to NM but it is on my list. You have me thinking of specific things I remember from younger days--we had a huge rock in the yard of the lake house where I would snuggle in and read for hours! There was a little carved out area like a seat, just for me, I thought. Linda

Good day, Vicki...

I just love the way you word your posts. Your photos are beautiful! New Mexico is a beautiful place, though I've only been there a few short times. I had no idea one could grow such lovely flowers there. Thank you for teaching me something today.

Today in my part of Texas it is raining. And I'm often reminded by the rain of the autumn rains...they remind me of my mother teaching me to sew on the machine. Perfect days for sewing and mother/daughter bonding.

Your blog is a treasure, my friend.

Hi Vicki,
What wonderful childhood memories. I believe I've told you this before, but mine was a very happy childhood so most of my memories are very happy ones. One that comes to mind right now is an Easter one. My grandmother always dyed eggs and hid them for us in her garden for us to look for. So much fun...sweet and innocent times. Happy first day of Spring my sweet friend.

Much love,
♥Ana

At Easter I was always looking under the Easter Grass in my basket for that special gift of a necklace or bracelet. Why my mom did that I dont know but she did and I love it. So many childhood memories..Thank goodness my long term memory bank is doing well. Lovely pictures..
