Do you remember. . .

selling coke bottles for 2 cents each so you could buy penny candy?

wearing a skate key tied around your neck so you would always be ready for your roller skates?

cat's cradle and other string games?

Ma and Pa Kettle, The Three Stooges and Spanky and Our Gang at the movies?

playing paper dolls for hours on end. . .Yes, I am feeling a little nostalgic today, dear friends. Hope you have many happy memories from your "growing up days". God bless each and every one of you!

I have a bag of Mary Jane candy sitting by my chair. Dollar General carries it! And Necco wafers are my favs! Loved this post.

Hope you are well!

Hello sweet friend! Oh, yes, I do remember all of these things. I have done a couple posts recently on "memories of childhood". Come over and visit. I will put the tea kettle on for you!

Cedar trees cut from our farm for a Christmas tree, stocking with apples, oranges & nuts, Tiny Tears & Betsy Wetsy, my first Barbie in 1962 - you have me thinking about my childhood! And even though I have never smoked, I LOVED the taste of candy cigarettes!

Yes, you made me reminisce my younger memories like paper doll dressing up.

I remember getting 10 cents back on soda bottles. My brother and I were just talking about that on Wednesday. Oh and all the candy we bought. I still love those chico-sticks.lol
