He was a man's man. He loved fishing. He loved sports. And most of all, he loved his family. He was very proud of being able to support us. I remember one time mother suggested that she might get a job to help out financially. My daddy said absolutely not, that he could take care of his family. He was the finest man I have ever known or ever hope to know. He was daddy to my sister, Myra, and I, "Pop" to his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and Dibb to his friends. He took care of my mother night and day for ten years when she was ill with Parkinson's Disease. That is just the kind of man he is. I love you, daddy!
I have two sons with families of their own. They are both wonderful daddies carrying on in the tradition of Pop. God bless our daddies everywhere and Happy Father's Day to them!!
