Happy first day of May, sweet friends! Today, I wanted to share with you the sweetest plate decorated by Ms. Rhea of "Sweet 'n Shabby Roses". I purchased this plate as soon as I saw it on her last post. I love the gold edging, the sweet roses, the darling angel and the aqua velvet and rhinestones she used to embellish this plate. If you have not met Rhea, please stop by her "Sweet 'n' Shabby Roses" because you are in for a treat. You will find her here: http://sweetnshabbyroses.blogspot.com/ The next two handpainted bowls I have had for some time, but I think they match the plate quite a bit. On the back of one of the bowls there is this inscription: Happy Birthday to Marguret~ Paul 1937. On the back of the other bowl there is an inscription that says: Greetings, Paul and Marguret, 12/25~1936. I love to think of these beautiful pieces being presented as gifts to someone long ago and loved dearly by the recipient. I now get to love these pieces, too. The little teapot, saucer and cup are also wonderful. They were given to me as a gift by my dear friend, Ita. She also gave me a sweet pin cushion and an earring holder. Ita is a beautiful lady who loves her home and family. She lives all the way across the world from me in Malaysia. Thank you, Ita, for my pretties. If you would like to visit Ita, you will find her here: http://itajeff68.blogspot.com/ The last pictures are Columbines and irises from my garden. Please visit Ms. Beverly and all the pink participants by going here: http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/
Thank you so much for coming by for a visit. Have a lovely day!
