Pink Saturday/Prayer for the people of Haiti. . .January 16, 2010

Hello, dear friends and welcome to Pink Saturday so graciously hosted each week by Beverly from "How Sweet the Sound" I am doing a year in review of some pinks from around Bunny Cottage this past year. I hope you enjoy looking at my pinks, and that they bring some cheer to your day. Let us also remember the people of Haiti who have suffered an indescribable tragedy. Please pray for them, and if you are so inclined, you can make a monetary donation to the relief effort. Colin Powell said he would recommend donating through the Red Cross. If you go to their website, you can make a donation with your credit card and earmark the funds specifically for the people of Haiti. I believe that CNN also has some reputable agencies on their website through which you can donate.

Please visit Ms. Beverly and all the other "pinkies" by going here: http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/
You are in for a real treat!

Thank you for coming by for a visit and brightening my day! Just a thought in closing: "The glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time you fall."~Chinese proverb

Lovely Pinks! Thank you for mentioning the souls in Haiti. I have been following the poor orphans and the families here waiting for them and it is heartbreaking. I so wish they could load them all up and bring them here just to get them help.

My heart goes out to those in Haiti and how they are suffering. The Lynn University is literally just around the corner from where I live and there are still missing students. It is very sad indeed, they truly need our prayers and help, Maureen....

Hi Vicki. You have so many nice things - it's lovely seeing them all again.

It's such a tragedy for the people of Haiti. When these things happen it opens the hearts of people worldwide. The prayers are definitely needed.

Yes, remembering the people who have suffered so much in prayers, and also the people who traveled there to help should be remembered too. Another great loss has been experienced and I really hope and pray that as days pass by, even just for a little bit, they see hope and faith. It is so hard for them to think of it for now for families may be grieving but I hope they don't lose it.

Hi Vicki,
As usual, your pictures have made me smile and think that your home must be a delightful place to live. I love the painting with the birds. It looks like a Christie Repasey. I love her artwork.
Our tastes in things is so similar and I feel very welcome whenever I stop by.
Thank you for the thoughts of our friends in Haiti. I have been able to donate and hope that we can help to ease their suffering with our prayers.
hugs

I've found that donating is easier than ever...you can even text and donate through your phone to Red Cross. That is what we have done. I think our country will be the main one that is sending millions their way...I just pray it really helps.
On another note. Your handpainted china is exquisite. I have some precious pieces my husbands grandmother painted and I love them. I about passed out (big smile) when I saw your pieces. Wow. They are lovely as is your whole blog! Have a blessed weekend.

Hi Vicki,

I see quite a few things in these photos that I would love to see here in my very own pink home. Could you just pack it all up and send it to me? I think we were separated at birth. I absolutely adore everything. Awesome post.

HI Vicki,
You must have been collecting for a long time to have such beautiful dishes and flowers are always my weakness. The devastation in Haiti is such a tragedy, so good of you to pass along so much information. When I was on the Island in October we did not visit Haiti but many of the churches had many Haitian people, also there was a Haitian village that we visited in the Dominican and the people were wonderful so full of life and love for God and yet they had nothing..... Always amazes me! Blessings to you and have a great week,Meg
