Pink Saturday!! January 9, 2010

Brrr!! Baby, it's cold outside!! Hello, sweet friends, and welcome to Pink Saturday! We are having record low temps here in Texas. I think it is cold all over our great country from what the weatherman is saying. So, please stay cozy and snug as Old Man Winter has arrived. For Pink Saturday in January, I am going to do a review of previous Pink Saturday posts. I have been blogging for about 6 months and have always participated in Pink Saturday. Even before I started my blog, I always enjoyed visiting Pink Saturday. I am very much a pink girl and lover of roses. I hope you don't mind this review but enjoy looking at some of my favorite pinks from around my home. I have some new pinks to show you beginning in February. Our Pink Saturday is faithfully hosted by Ms. Beverly of "How sweet the sound" so please go and visit Beverly and all the other wonderful pinks by going here: http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/
I have stayed in my warm pajamas all day today (retirement is really great!) and have watched about all the bowl games on tv these past few days. I love sports and watch football, basketball, baseball and sometimes hockey. Besides the news and news programs this is pretty much the extent of my tv viewing. I hope you have been able to relax and enjoy your week. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. It always brightens my day when you do!
Thought for today: It's in God's light that we always shine the brightest!

Love your pink items. Lots of variety. I especially love the crochet items. My grandmother crocheted the most lovely things. I am lucky to have a few of them but no pink.
I agree that retirement is wonderful and one of the perks is staying in p.j.s as lone as you want.

Happy Pink Saturday

Good Morning Vicki!
I don't mind looking at those sweetly sewn chair caps and the beautiful bride pillow again!
I love the rewards of my job...but oh am I dreaming of your days at home all cozy... It's been a challenge leaving the house this past week. Yesterday, I thought the schools would have had a delay... but at 7:00am I was on snowy roads.
A benefit is that daylight savings time brings the sunrise just as I'm driving up the road near school...so that creates a heavenly moment right there in my car~
Have a Warm & Cozy weekend!

Hi Vicki! LOVE that tea cozy with the crochet, buttons and roses on it!! VERY SWEET!!.. Wow, I STILL can't BELIEVE how COLD it is for everyone down south!! I have family in Florida, and I can't imagine they're liking THESE temperatures too much!.. Stay in and stay warm. I know I'll be tucked under an afghan watching either some movies; OR, with great restraint, I may be watching for what's new on the shopping channels! (0; Uh-oh!.. Happy Pink Saturday, and have a wonderful weekend! ~tina

Oh I love being retired too ;-)
I heard parts of Texas are colder than the North Pole currently and just thinking about that makes me shiver! I loved all you pinks today ... such a marvelous variety. The poster at the top and the lovely crochet work stand out in my mind as I type this. Do stay warm. Happy Pink Saturday.

Vicki what a gorgeous review of all the beautiful pinks you've shown us over the last few months . It was a treat to see these. Is that a Christie Repasey print above the china hutch? I love her artwork.
I found it so funny that you are a sports watcher. A pink loving sports watcher too.

I'm a day late and a dollar short with my Pink Saturday visits. The sun was shining too bright yesterday and just like a little kid I couldn't stop marveling at how lovely it was as it beamed through my lace curtains and puddled on the floor. My cats were in heaven.

So, here I am today, a little late but thinking that I got a bonus because I avoided all the traffic!

Lovely blog and the sweetest pinks that you shared. Thank you so much for making this such a lovely Sunday for me.
