My garden. . .my happy place. . .

"We may think that we  are nurturing our garden, but, of course, it's our garden that is really nurturing us."  Jenny Upton     Endless Summer hydrangea and Souvenir De La Malmaison, an antique bourbon rose, growing in my little cottage garden.  I love to have my hands in the dirt working in my garden.  What are your favorite flowers?  Hoping you have had a good day!

Dear friends,
I am once again able to upload images.  I changed my password so maybe this helped.  I really don't know.  All I know is that I am so glad I can blog again with images.  These hollyhocks remind me so much of my growing up days in New Mexico.  Hollyhocks really love the climate of the high desert.  One summer memory for me was sitting in the tree next to our house reading a book.  Trixie Belden books were my favorite.  I introduced Trixie to my granddaughter, Ally, and she loves her mystery books, too.  Well, enough of my rambling.  I hope to "reconnect" with you, my sweet friends.  Have a beautiful day full of peace and love.  Vicki

Farewell for a while...

For some reason, I am no longer able to download pictures to my "Bunny Cottage" journal.  I am not sure what has happened, but I have tried several times over the past week with no luck.  I am thinking maybe I will not be posting for a while until this problem is fixed.  I just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed your friendship over these past years.  I wish you and your loved ones the very best.  I will miss you!

It's a wonderful life. . .

"Look, Daddy.  Teacher says every time a bell rings

an angel gets his wings."  ZuZu Bailey, "It's a Wonderful Life"

"Remember, George:  no man is a failure who has friends."   Clarence, the angel,  "It's a Wonderful Life"

"Strange, isn't it?  Each man's life touches so many other lives.  When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"  Clarence, the angel,  "It's a Wonderful Life"

"A toast to my  big brother, George:  The richest man in town."  Harry Bailey,  "It's a Wonderful Life"

I love this movie and enjoy watching it every year at Christmas.  It teaches so many wonderful life lessons.  It is good to be reminded of the importance of love and friendship and family all year round.  Wishing you all the happiest of Christmases.  You are a blessing to me.
