New Mexico days. . .
Sweet childhood days where my imagination was my most prized possession. . .
Days of riding my bike like the wind and soaring just above the ground like a bird. . .
Days of treasure hunts where I was sure I would find that pot of gold at rainbow's end.
Days of treasure hunts where I was sure I would find that pot of gold at rainbow's end.
Days of family picnics where fried chicken, juicy watermelon and homemade ice cream were always on the menu. Days of turquoise blue skies, dainty hollyhocks, and star-filled nights still linger in my heart. . . What childhood memories are lingering in your hearts today?

Eggs. . .
have always enchanted me. . . Is there any prettier color than robin's egg blue?
Maybe eggs fascinate me because they are harbingers of springtime and new life. . .
I remember as a young girl finding a goose egg on my uncle's farm. I had never seen an egg this size! My Uncle Jack let me keep it. I begged my mother to please let me take it to school for show and tell. She said, "Yes!" I was so excited to show my egg to my class. I am pretty sure my teacher was praying that I didn't drop it right in the middle of the classroom!!

Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal. . .
When I first moved to my new apartment home, I was afraid I would miss all the birds that came to my backyard feeder at my other home.
However, I should have known that God would take care of that. You see, growing right outside my upstairs apartment window is a beautiful crepe myrtle tree. When I stepped out onto my patio the other morning, there were Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal just waiting for me on a branch of the crepe myrtle.

They seemed to be saying, "Every day possible! You didn't think that birds only lived at your old home, did you?" I had to smile.
Mr. Cardinal with his flashy scarlet feathers and Mrs. Cardinal with her more subdued wardrobe were both right there just waiting to greet me! I am going to put my hummingbird feeder out soon. I feel sure I will have some new hummingbird friends on the way. I hope your day has been a good one, dear friends. Thank you for coming by for a visit at Bunny Cottage.
